Ad Server

Project Title: Ad Server

Tools / Platform: The project will be in Windows-2000 platform with ASP .Net (Scripting to be done using C#). The Web Server will be IIS. SQL server 2000 will be used as the back end device.

Introduction to application Area

The project Ad Server implements business directory service and automated hosting of advertisement in various websites. This mainly includes site promotion of small scale or medium scale industries and services. Ad Server provides both free and premium service. In free service the companies can only view their advertisements on the websites that are registered in this server. There is no option for click or registering their advertisements. The Ad Server will host their ads on websites according to the keyword that matches the category in which the company belongs to.

In premium service the companies registered on the Ad Server will have to pay a premium amount and they can host their advertisements on various sites registered in Ad Server in contextual manner, so that advertisements are displayed in context to the content of the corresponding websites. The hosting of advertisement is free of cost, but each click on the advertisement, will earn a certain amount to the hosting site. So they have to pay an amount and when their premium expires they have to renew their premium. They will be notified with a message that their balance is null and so for further showing their ads on websites they have to renew their account otherwise their ads will only be shown on websites and that users cannot anymore click on this ad and do further processing.

For the maintenance of Ad Server, the Ad Server will share a certain amount with the hosting website for each click on the advertisement. The website is also paid an amount for showing the ads on their sites. They are paid on the basis of the click that they receive for each ads registered on their sites.
