Project Synopsis

Project Title: Automated Automobile Industry Management System

Tools / Platform: The project will be in Windows-2000 platform with VB.NET And SQL Server 2000. The Web Server will be IIS

Introduction To application Area

The project deals with the web based Automobile sales, Automobile Parts sales & Service. The site has provisions for buying and selling of cars as well as purchase of Automobile parts.

Modules Of The Project

1) Registration Module

The module helps in registration of the prospective members with the system. The members has to register with site to get a login. Once the members get the login they can log on to the site and register the cars for sale.

2) Search Module

The module helps in searching for different vehicles which are registered in the site. The search helps in finding out cars by features like model number, color and other additional features etc.

3) Buyer Module

The module helps the buyers to place the buying intent for the vehicles, which they have searched out using the search module. Once the buying intent is placed it goes to the sellers email address as well as gets recorded in the database for the seller to view the details.

4) Auto Parts Module

The module helps in registration of the automobile parts by the site manager as well as the provision for the search of the auto parts module. The users can browse through the parts registered in the site and place a buying intent for the auto parts.

5) Automatic Mailer Module

The module helps in sending automatic emails to members of the site on a regular basis for the new vehicles registered in the site with the photo graphs of the vehicles. It also helps in sending Automated Email reminders for Servicing and Check up of the users Automobile.

6) Auto Servicing Module

This Module deals with the Servicing of the Users Cars . It also automatically assigns the servicing materials and methodologies depending on the type of car and the usage of the car. This is a unique feature of the system.

7)Administration Module

The module helps in keeping tack of the number of registrations on a particular day and number of proposals send and finalized on different time intervals etc. The module also helps in automatic backup and recovery of data in the database.
