SYNOPSIS

Project Title: ASPECT IMPACT

Tools / Platform: The project will be in Windows-2000 platform with ASP .Net (Scripting to be done using C#). SQL server 2000 will be used as the back end device.

Introduction

Project entitled “ASPECT IMPACT” we are dealing with a website which allows to combine the activities of multiple personnel, organizations etc in the study of the environment present the studies to the user in a user friendly format.

The definitions are

Environmental Aspect: Element of an organisations activities, products or services that can interact with the environment.

Environmental Impact: Any change to the environment, whether adverse or beneficial, wholly or partially resulting from the organisations activities, products or services.

Linds Colbe provided an improvement to this method by suggesting the use of a matrix in which activities, impacts and aspects were mentioned and a color coding scheme was used to indicate whether the activity is dangerous to the environment or not.

In this system that we are proposing we are presenting an environmental agency which can co-ordinate the activities of multiple number of local agencies that are working for the same principle thereby allowing a better study of a wider region. Moreover this co-ordination of manpower can result in studying about things that are quite wide and beyond the reach of a single agency. Moreover in this system we are giving a place wise classification of the studies so that the user has a look mat the areas of his interest. By using aspect impact matrix method up to a certain extend and a color coding schema we ensure that anyone can understand whatever is being mentioned in our website

Modules

Admin Module:

Administrator controls the overall working of the site. Admin registers (Adds) new agencies can view the aspect/impact of an activity in an area, can evaluate the area etc.

Agency Module

An agency can log into the site through this module. Agency can add employees, assign duties to their employees, place, and publish notifications and so on.

Sub Agency Module

There will more than five sub agency to be registered under each agency, which will be mainly sorted district wise. Accordingly, the data sharing will be done to all agencies and Codes will be distributed.

Employee Module

Employees are entered to the site through employee module. Employees can view and update their profile, duties assigned to them,. Employees enter the values of aspect and impact of various activities.

User Module

Users can select an area and can view the status of that area. Users can view various details of the aspect and Impact of various activities- gas evolution, water wastage, sound, soil pollution - in detail.

Citizen Alert Module Thru SMS

Alert Citizens can make use of the forum to intimate and alert the system about environmental hazards like Pollution etc, which will be duly monitored and entered into the system. There will also be an active Blog which will be validated each time any user updated the site.

Repots Module

The main report module consists of a Graphical Matrix representation of the Environmental disorders and Pollution watch . All other required MIS reports will be generated.
